SPECIALTIES
Counseling at Resilient Hope is designed for those who want to go deeper than symptom relief and find meaningful, lasting change. This process is intentional, honest, and at times challenging, but it is also where true transformation takes place. If you are seeking a therapist who will help you connect the dots, sit with you in the depth, and walk alongside you toward lasting change, you are in the right place.
Anxiety

If you’re constantly overthinking, feeling on edge, or stuck in cycles of worry, anxiety can take over your inner world, even when everything looks “fine” on the outside. My approach to anxiety therapy is not just about symptom management or quick fixes. We work to understand the root causes of your anxiety. We process the patterns keeping it in place. We explore how it connects to your background, relationships, and sense of control. From there, we build practical tools grounded in deeper, lasting change.

Burnout

Burnout is more than stress. It’s a chronic full-body, emotional, mental, and even spiritual depletion. Whether you’re burned out from work, caregiving, or chronic overextension, we focus on understanding how you got here at a deeper level. Together, we address patterns like over-responsibility, people-pleasing, and chronic self-sacrifice, while building boundaries and rhythms that actually restore you for the long haul.

Depression

Depression often shows up as exhaustion, numbness, lack of motivation, or a quiet sense of disconnection from yourself and your life. In our work together, we go beyond simply trying to “feel better.” We explore what’s underneath the depression (unprocessed emotions, unmet needs, unaddressed wounds, internalized pressures) and begin the process of reconnection. Our work aims to rebuild emotional and mental energy, restore meaning, and gently move toward a life that feels more like your own.

Faith & Spiritual Struggles

Faith in Jesus can be a source of deep comfort. But it can also be a place of confusion, doubt, or even pain. Whether you’re feeling distant from God, wrestling with unanswered prayers, navigating hurt from church communities, or trying to reconcile your faith with your lived experience, I offer Christian counseling that makes space for the full complexity of your story.
This is not surface-level, feel-good spirituality. We won’t bypass hard emotions with easy answers or overused phrases. While I firmly believe in the truth and power of Scripture, I will not offer it as a surface-level solution or a one-verse fix. Instead, we'll engage your faith honestly. For some, that means rebuilding a faith that feels authentic and grounded - that truly experiences the freedom Jesus promised. For others, it means untangling beliefs that have caused harm or pressure. Wherever you are, here we'll integrate clinical insight with a thoughtful, personal approach to your walk with Jesus because I truly believe He is an extraordinarily thoughtful and loving God who knows your heart inside and out, has uniquely crafted your story, promises to be present in the struggle, and offers to redeem your pain.
If you’re looking for Christian therapy that allows room for both belief and struggle, both hope and honesty, you’ve found it.

Grief

Grief is not limited to death. Sometimes grief shows up in other losses and disappointments. Whether you’re coping with the death of a loved one, the loss of a relationship, or a major life transition, grief is not something to get over, but to move through. Together, we explore the deeper emotional, relational, and identity shifts that grief brings. This is a space to process loss honestly, without timelines or pressure to rush healing, and to find meaning as you learn to carry what’s been lost.

High-Performing Individuals

Many high-achieving individuals struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, emotional disconnection, or a sense that nothing ever feels like “enough.” As a former lawyer and first-child, I know what it's like to live with your identity tied to your performance, trying to earn love and acceptance by doing everything right. I specialize in working with people who are successful on the outside but internally overwhelmed. Together we explore identity, pressure, and the cost of constantly holding it all together, so you can experience peace and acceptance, not pressure and striving.

Trauma

Sometimes trauma comes through abuse or catastrophic events. Other times it grows quietly through childhood wounds, relational betrayal, spiritual harm, chronic stress, illness, or experiences that left you feeling unsafe, unseen, powerless, or alone. Even after the experience has ended, trauma can continue shaping the way you experience yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. You may carry shame that isn't yours to bear, feel constantly on guard, struggle to trust, or find yourself emotionally disconnected without fully understanding why. These responses aren't signs that something is wrong with you; they're often the ways your mind and body learned to survive. Healing involves more than making sense of the past. It happens as your mind, body, and emotions begin to experience safety in new ways. Because trauma often happens in relationship, it also heals in relationship. My goal is to provide a therapeutic space where you feel deeply seen, known, and emotionally safe. Drawing from Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Brainspotting, we'll help your nervous system move out of survival mode, process painful experiences, reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been hidden beneath them, and move toward a life marked by greater freedom, peace, and wholeness.
