The ResilientHope Approach

Relational

I believe the deepest healing happens in relationship.

What is broken through relationships is often healed in a safe, attuned relationship. Because of this, I prioritize building genuine rapport and creating a space where you feel seen, known, and emotionally safe. The counseling relationship itself becomes part of the healing process.

While I absolutely address clinical concerns, symptoms, and overall functioning, you won’t encounter a sterile therapist hiding behind a clipboard. I am engaged, present, and human. I care deeply about the stories people carry because I understand deeply that pain is not theoretical - it’s lived.

My approach blends clinical skill with authentic connection. I will walk alongside you with compassion and steadiness as you move through anxiety, depression, disappointment, or relational wounds. I firmly believe that growth, resilience, and healing are possible.

Professional

Counseling is unlike any other relationship in your life.

Research consistently shows that one of the strongest predictors of meaningful therapeutic change is that the client feels safe, comfortable, and genuinely connected to the therapist.

I approach counseling as a real relationship, not a sterile transaction. I won’t position myself as an untouchable expert sitting across from you with emotional distance. Yet the spotlight remains where it belongs: on your journey, your growth, and your healing process.

I approach counseling with warmth and clarity. I aim to be genuine, grounded, and thoughtfully structured. Our work will feel relational and real, yet boundaried. I believe healthy limits create safety, so I maintain them carefully in order to protect your growth. You can expect steadiness and compassion in the room, as I engage you with humility - not as someone elevated above the human experience, but as a fellow person who understands that struggle is part of being human.

Change doesn’t come from being told what to do. I help you slow down, explore your questions, and discover your own truth. I’ll point when needed, but you lead your journey as real growth happens when you’re ready.

For those seeking Christian counseling, with me it isn’t about rules or quick fixes. I trust Jesus and the Holy Spirit to lead your journey. My heart is to hold space for asking tough questions, bringing your anger and doubts into the open, confronting feelings of spiritual distance - wrestling with God and letting Him gently tend to the areas of your heart that need His care.
